The wild gnoos beast has come alive; sign up for beta testing and start wrestling with it! If you bring the beast down, contact the lads at gnoos HQ and inform them of your victory. This is what beta is all about.
Update:
I’ve been gnoosing around and I’m sold – gnoos is rocking my world. Far from ever falling, the gnoos beast provides an impressive search service, some nice social/community/web 2.0 features such as tagging, commenting, RSS (for everything!) and a thumbs up/thumbs down post rank, all via a satisyingly simple user interface. I like it. Actually I love it. I hope Technorati takes notice of the crisp, clean aesthetics. This is how blog search is supposed to look, feel and function. Actually, I wouldn’t really care if Technorati didn’t take notice… I haven’t been over to Technorati since I received my gnoos invite…
A notable feature is the simple but very functional ‘Latest Updates’ section at the bottom of the homepage, with the 5 most recently updated Aussie blogs, Aussie media and global blogs. Simple. Functional. The way it should be. From here you can click through to the complete listing of recent updates for each of the 3 areas.
While we’re talking about good features, how’s this for plain bloody smart? Gnoos for ‘blog consulting’ and check what happens. Gnoos doesn’t just match the two words ‘blog’ and ‘consulting’ to the index, it’s also matching ‘blog’, ‘blogs’ and ‘blogging’. Sure, it sounds like common sense but there are plenty of far less agile social search apps around. Ripper.
In conclusion, I wonder if Ben has anything to do with the hot ‘jessicaalba’ and ‘ashleesimpson’ tagging?
