Getting Things Done

by Andy Howard on July 3, 2006

A simplified version of the pictured GTD (Getting Things Done) system is working wonders. The simplest solution is often the best, and so far this solution has been far superior to previous experiences with pocket PCs, client software and web solutions. Paper doesn’t need batteries and never crashes. However, it’s hard to back up a Moleskine

Have you thought about going back to paper? It’s so simple and so effective. There are plenty of great ideas on 43 Folders and in the GTD Flickr Group. One of the most ingenious applications is the Hipster PDA, which so far has handled my workload beautifully.

Interesting post – I recently ditched my Sony UX50 (with inbuilt wi-fi, video, full Qwerty keyboard etc etc) for a good ol’ paper pocket diary. Reason? I realised that I can flick through all my past diaries (uni days, travelling etc) and re-live the memories, but I know I won’t be able to do with my sony in years to come….

Totally agree Zac, I ditched my 02 XDA pocket pc and that was a big reason for my decision too. Thanks for the comment, see you on here again soon.
